ith two decades of experience in a variety of content marketing related fields, multiple awards under her belt, and keynote stage appearances for content marketing events including #CMWorld, Michele Linn is regarded by many to be a notable thought leader in the industry. Her mix of real-world experience and her impressive tenure at one of content marketing’s most well-known companies makes her the perfect authority on any aspect of content development.

Michele Linn began her career in content marketing with a B.A in English and minors in Technical Communication and Environmental Studies from Bowling Green State University. After college, she built up a strong foundation of marketing experience at the mainframe application and DevOps developer Compuware.

In 2008, she partnered with Linn Communications as a B2B Content Marketing Consultant. During her time with the company, Michele helped to create compelling content that included eBooks and web copy, and also helped businesses find new and strategic ways of marketing and spreading that content.

With a passion for content creation and promotion, Michele easily adopted the role of Director of Content Development at one of the industry’s favorite publications for all-things-content-marketing, the Content Marketing Institute (CMI). In fact, Michele was one of the company’s very first employees. Founded by content marketing evangelist Joe Pulizzi, CMI was the perfect place for Michele’s content-focused strategies to truly develop. During her role as Director of Content Development, Michele was in charge of the monumental responsibility of overseeing all of the site’s content. In addition to the daily blog, CMI also produces a variety of white papers, eBooks, and research papers and studies based on content marketing. And as the Director of Content Development, Michele managed it all. Michele is now the Vice President of Content at Content Marketing Institute, and is undoubtedly one of the most highly respected authorities on content marketing. She has published hundreds of articles, spoken at numerous industry events, and was named one of Folio’s Top Women in Media (Corporate Visionary). She’s passionate about helping businesses and marketers expand their knowledge about the industry and sharing the virtues of smart and effective content marketing strategies.
